Vodou practitioners are shown here walking through the community to inform the people of the impending celebration of the loa (spirits). The presence of cars in the scene clearly indicates that this event is taking place in a city rather than a rural village setting. Despite the urban environment, the traditional practices of Vodou are still very much alive.
