Edward Rawson, Executive Director

Mr. Rawson has been connected to Haiti and the Friends since childhood through his mother and Friends founder, Lucy Rawson. His career has been defined by non-profit leadership, business development in the US and Haiti and fundraising. In 2010 Mr. Rawson designed and ran a UN OCHA funded cash for work project in Haiti modeled to offer work opportunities to 7,000 people who were displaced by the 2010 earthquake.

Bee Schindler, MSW, Deputy Director

Bee Schindler is the Deputy Director with the Haiti Friends, where Bee’s use of a degree in journalism and a graduate degree in social work guide the inner workings of the non-profit’s day to day processes, including grant writing, financial budgeting, operations management, social media direction and cultivation. Bee also coordinates directly with the Haiti Friends Board, president, and executive director to ensure smooth administration.

 Caitlin Garrity, Programs Associate 

Caitlin Garrity is the Programs Associate and Art Curator and Educator with the Haiti Friends where Caitlin is responsible for developing and achieving goals for the nonprofit’s major programming including engaging in donor relations and tracking giving patterns, event and volunteer management. Caitlin also designs and curates the presentation of the large Haitian art collection.
