Virginie Grand-Pierre 18 x 36.  “The Palace of 365 Doors”. The city of Petite Riviere, which is the home of many of the Artibonite Valley artists, hosts an annual parade to the former residence of Napoleon Bonaparte’s sister, captured in one of the early battles for independence. Virginie Grand-Pierre is one of the few active women painters in the Artibonite.
