Cheritus Mistera 24 x 20

Born in southern Haiti in 1927. He came to the Centre d’Art in 1971 as a grounds and building caretaker and taught himself how to paint. His style is primarily naïf and features ordinary people in ordinary activities, painted in pleasing simple colors.
